ISSVA 20th International Workshop on Vascular Anomalies
UPDATE AND WORKSHOP: THE PATHOLOGY OF VASCULAR ANOMALIES
MONDAY 31ST MARCH, 2014
The Royal Children’s Hospital, Ella Latham Lecture Theatre
Vascular lesions are common in adult and paediatric pathology practice, and are seen by general anatomical pathologists as well as specialists in areas such as soft tissue tumours, bone pathology and dermatopathology. They are also frequently difficult to diagnose, and recent advances in understanding their pathology at a molecular level have resulted in significant changes in how we diagnose and classify them.
A full day workshop on the pathology of vascular anomalies and proliferations will be conducted under the direction of Professor Paula North in association with the 20th ISSVA International Workshop on Vascular Anomalies, to be held in Melbourne, Australia in 2014.
Professor North is a world leading researcher, author and diagnostic reference pathologist for vascular lesions. The workshop will be directed primarily to anatomical pathologists and advanced trainees in pathology, but it will also potentially be of value to researchers working in the field, as well as to dermatologists, surgeons and other clinicians with an interest in the biology of these lesions.
Registrations are now open for the Pathology Workshop to be held on 31 March 2014, with the options of extended registration to include a half day overview and clinical diagnostic primer on vascular anomalies the following day (1 April 2014) or full registration for the ISSVA meeting over the following week.
