Flies

Australia has a rich variety of flies with some of them being quite colourful. Flies are usually most annoying in summer and are thicker in areas where there is livestock. In the more remote areas away from farms they are not such a nuisance.

March flies can be very bothersome at some times of the year in a wide variety of environments from the beach to the highest peaks. Their bite is painful, they're persistent, but they are slow fliers and easy to kill.

I prefer tropical strength Aeroguard cream for deterring flies, but only when they are really annoying.
